This is a blog for Christiana's SoChic Designs. An entry to the Shabby Apple Dresses dare to design contest is contained here. My fabric ideas are shown in fabric swatches in the picture. The fabrics suggested are tulle and a calico on cotton. I was inspired by the fabric - classic and cute - as well as by Shabby Apple's fun and sophisticated style. The tulle hem is inspired by retro designs where see-through plastic was used instead. This dress is versatile and can be dressed up or dressed down, and although designed for early spring, can be worn during all seasons with a simple change of accessories.
